The new year will be with us soon and promises great developments from the beginning, did anyone say Material Handling Library? For a moment though, let us take a brief look back on 2017.
This year saw the release of AnyLogic 8 and AnyLogic Cloud. These two software releases have widened the utility of simulation modeling by paring the power of AnyLogic with the power of the cloud and the freedom to share. Now you can quickly communicate simulations with the people who need to know, through just a web browser.
Staying online, the AnyLogic website received a redesign this year. It continues to develop with the community in mind and is filled with numerous case studies, how-to videos, webinars and blog features. You can also engage with us and other AnyLogic users on our social platforms Linked In, Facebook, Twitter and Stack Overflow. You can ask questions and find model building tips and tricks on Stack Overflow by using the anylogic tag.
Supply chain design and analytics solution anyLogistix had a great year, bringing users the free Personal Learning Edition (PLE) accompanied with the free new eBook ‘Supply Chain Simulation and Optimization with anyLogistix’. The year ended with a significant upgrade to version 2.7, you can read and see more about the many great enhancements and new functionality on the blog.
Not all the action took place online and with the software, we enjoyed meeting colleagues at events around the world. Training, seminars, and the recent 50th Winter Simulation Conference further demonstrated the many benefits of simulation modeling throughout industry and commerce. At the conference, 33% of papers presented (excl. vendors) featured models built in AnyLogic. An increase in majority share of 5% from the previous year. With industry leaders continuing to standardize on AnyLogic across their operations, this further endorses the platform as the go-to simulation software for every business challenge.
It was a fantastic year and we look forward to 2018. May it be filled with as much success again, and more! And don’t miss out on the next steps, the AnyLogic Conference in April will be with us soon!
Happy holidays and best wishes for a wonderful 2018!
